Summer riding days

Our special Summer Riding Days is an opportunity for your child to be exposed to a more complete picture of what owning and caring for a horse is all about!  

 Week 1: June 5th - June 8th  

 Week 2: June 19th - June 22nd

Week 3: June 26th - June 29th  

Week 4: July 10th - July 13th 

Week 5: July 17th - July 20th 

Week 6: July 24th - July 27th   

6 weeks of Summer Riding Days

1 Show Team Week

*Riding Days are filled on a first come basis

We will show a rider about:

*tack used on horses

*care of horse's feet

*proper behavior when around horses

*what, how often and how much horses eat

*how to tie your horse properly

*the anatomy of a horse

*care and maintenance of a horse's teeth

*how to estimate the age of a horse

*discuss confirmation

*proper grooming and clipping for shows

*how to clean and maintain your tack

*how to clean a horse stall

*tacking up the horse

*giving a horse a bath

*practice maintaining balance in saddle

and much more to learn.....

AND THE BEST ONE OF ALL

*RIDE THE HORSE!!!

Summer Riding Days 2023 packet is available under Forms or below (please make sure the Sugarland Release form is filled out with the packet)

Summer Riding Days are excellent preparation for a student who may want to begin competing at horse shows.  Your child will learn a lot and have fun doing it!  We hope you will join us this year!!!

New Feature this Summer-A-La-Carte Riding Days begin at 9 am and end at 2 PM if you only want to ride one day during the weeks of the Summer Camps.
